Alaska Veterans Museum

What Attraction
The Alaska Veterans Museum is focused on honoring our nation's veterans and insuring that because of the sacrifices they made to defend America's freedom, They Shall Not Be Forgotten. As President Calvin Coolidge said, "A nation which forgets its defenders, will itself be forgotten." Although home to the largest veteran population per capita of any state in the Union, Alaska is the only state (as of January 1, 2011) not to have a veterans museum.  Our active group has been working for years to change that.  We invite you to visit our facility featuring over 110 oral histories and hundreds of artifacts from veterans dating from WWII to the present.
