Anchorage at The Copper Whale Inn. Our

offers stunning views of Cook Inlet, Sleeping Lady

16-mile Coastal Trail. Binoculars in the
sitting room make it easy to spot bald eagles, beluga
whales and other wildlife. Innkeeper Glen Hemingson
is on hand to answer questions and offer suggestions
for activities.
One of
the few structures that survived the 1964 Anchorage
earthquake, The Copper Whale Inn's newly-remodeled
main building contrasts with nearby downtown
high-rises. Lush gardens grace the exterior in the
summer season. Our 15 guest rooms are
comfortable and inviting, and the spacious common
area is warmed by a stone-trimmed fireplace. Comfort,
