What Fishing & Charters Homer Ocean Charters, located on the famous Homer Spit in Homer, Alaska has been in operation since 1979. Homer is called The Halibut Capital of the World and we can provide you with the best of the best! Our fleet of seven boats provide opportunities for premier halibut, salmon, and lingcod fishing. Our captains are experienced professionals and know where the fish are waiting for you. Our experience and knowledge from many years of fishing in Lower Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay waters offers you top quality fishing trips that you will long remember. Your safety, comfort and the quality of your experience are our first concern. All of our boats are well equipped, have rest rooms and comfortable cabins. Our captains are Coast Guard licensed and the boats are Coast Guard licensed and equipped. We can accommodate you if you have never fished before, have fished your whole life, are a single person or coming with a large group. We offer full day, half day, single species and combination species fishing.Your ride out to the fishing grounds offers spectacular views of the remote shorelines, mountains and volcanoes of Kachemak Bay. Be sure to bring your camera as you will have chances to get some beautiful scenic photos. We often spot pods of whales and other sea life along the way. You will also want photos to show off your catch!

- HALF DAY KAYAKING - Departs Homer at 12pm for Otter Cove. Meet up with your guide, gear up and enjoy a guided sea kayaking adventure. Returns to Homer by 5pm. 3 person minimum.
- FULL DAY KAYAKING - Departs Homer at 10am for Otter Cove. Meet up with your guide, gear up and enjoy a guided sea kayaking adventure. Returns to Homer by 5pm. 2 person minimum.
- WATER TAXI - Full water taxi service to most points in Kachemak Bay State Park. Flexible drop off and pickup times. Great for hiking, clamming, mountain biking or camping. Price is roundtrip, per person.
- GULL ISLAND / KACHEMAK BAY CRUISE - Narrated, 3.5 hr. cruise across Kachemak Bay to Gull Island. Look for wildlife as you travel this scenic area. Great for birding.
- GUIDED INTERPRETIVE HIKE - Hike Kachemak Bay State Park's most popular trail to Glacier Lake. Includes guide, roundtrip water taxi service from Homer, drop off at Glacier Spit and pickup at Saddle Trail.
