February 28 Anchorage Tour Anchorage, including stops at the Anchorage Zoo, Anchorage Museum and Lake Hood; the world's largest and busiest floatplane base. This evening, attend the Iditarod Gala known as the "Musher's Ball." Overnight Anchorage. February 29 Anchorage-Alyeska-Anchorage Today's happenings include a scenic motor coach drive from Anchorage to the world-renowned Alyeska Ski Resort. Admire the scenery as the scenic Seward Highway curves around Turnagain Arm. You'll enjoy stops at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and at the Portage Glacier Begich-Boggs Visitor Center to browse the informative glaciology exhibits. Return back to Anchorage for your overnight stay. March 1 Anchorage Attend the ceremonial start of the Iditarod, in downtown Anchorage and cheer on your favorite team! Overnight Anchorage.
